Short Papers and Posters

CALL FOR SHORT PAPER AND POSTER SUBMISSIONS

Intelligent Environments (IE) refer to physical spaces in which IT and other pervasive computing technology are woven and used to achieve specific goals for the user, the environment or both. IE enriches user experience, better manages the environment's resources, and increases user awareness of that environment. In addition to the main track, the doctoral colloquium, demos and videos, the technical program will also include a short paper and poster track.

The short paper and poster track provides an ideal opportunity for conference attendees to learn about new and innovative work-in progress, and to preview on-going research projects that might not yet be complete, but whose preliminary results are already interesting. Interested authors are invited to submit poster papers on the IE12 topics of interest listed in the conference home page. Posters will be reviewed based on originality, significance, quality, and clarity. Accepted posters will be displayed in a dedicated poster area; their accompanying papers will be included in the IEEE Conference Proceedings.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

A short paper with a maximum length of four (4) pages that explains the idea presented. Since the format is short, special attention should be given to ensure that major contributions, i.e., significance and originality, be emphasized succinctly. Submitted papers must comply with the IE12 publisher formatting guidelines, because papers of accepted posters will be included in the IEEE Conference Proceedings. At this stage, no draft version of the poster should be submitted with the short paper.

Only if the paper gets accepted, the authors will be asked to make and bring along a poster that will be displayed during the conference. We will provide panels of 1.8 meter wide and 2 meter height. Please feel free to use the size you decide for your poster.
