Special Session on Intelligent P2P and Grid systems

Recent advances in the research topics such as the Grid and Peer-to-Peer computing involve the design and development of new methods and techniques that take into account the current state of the system in order to create adaptable and flexible infrastructures.

Intelligent Peer-to-Peer and Grid systems are based on infrastructures that react to unforeseen events, plan how to carry out complex tasks, and learn from the history of the system. Software agents will be a key technology to address the challenges and offer an adequate abstraction to construct intelligent systems.

Possible application areas include but are not restricted to:

  • Agent architectures.
  • Intelligent agent computing techniques.
  • Scalability, coordination, robustness and adaptability.
  • Self-organizing systems and emergent organization.
  • Collective, self-organized intelligence.
  • Online negotiation of access to services.
  • Resource discovery and management.
  • Knowledge representation and ontology learning.
  • Knowledge management.
  • Computational economy.

This track not only welcomes practical results, description and analysis of user experiments and demonstrations of working prototypes but also recent advances in design, analysis, and development of intelligent P2P and Grid systems.
